There are dozens of options for celebrating the end of 2022 and start of 2023 in Prague, and we picked out some of the best choices ranging from fine dining to rooftop dancing.

Even though there are no pandemic restrictions this year, the city rules against fireworks downtown and near the water should still be in place. This makes celebrating indoors an attractive option, as there won't be so much to see on the streets.

For those who want to be near the city center, The Mozart Prague lets you celebrate within view of the Charles Bridge, with a Great Gatsby–themed party and gourmet menu. The Augustine, near Malostranské náměstí, is also throwing a fancy high-end bash in a renovated monastery.

Several places offer views of the city. Fred and Ginger, atop the Dancing House, DupleX, on Wenceslas Square, and Cloud 9 in the Hilton all let you see the city at night while you celebrate.

Expats.cz wishes you a safe and happy new year no matter where you celebrate!
