If you’re planning to vacation in Spain or Greece this summer, you’ll need to fill out a form before arriving in the country, according to a report in iDnes.

Spain and Greece, two popular summer travel destinations, are both listed as safe destinations for Czech residents and citizens. That means you will not need to submit a COVID-19 test or self-quarantine when returning to the country. However, before leaving, it’s important to check each country’s individual rules for incoming tourists.

Here’s how the forms will work. Starting July 1, tourists coming to Spain will need to fill out an electronic form (find it here) prior to arriving in the country. You will need to provide your flight number, date of arrival, and your electronic address.

Here’s how the forms will work. Starting July 1, tourists coming to Spain will need to fill out an electronic form prior to arriving in the country. You will need to provide your flight number, date of arrival, and electronic address.

Once you fill out the form, you will receive a QR code to present to authorities.

The country is also giving tourists a transitional period until July 31 to fill out the form on paper if they cannot fill it out online.

The process is similar in Greece. At least 48 hours before arriving, you will need to complete the electronic Passenger Locator Form online (find it here). Once you fill it out, you’ll receive a QR code to present to authorities at least one day before your arrival.

If you arrive through an airport, you will present your QR code, and depending on the information, you may be tested for coronavirus or directed to exit the airport. Until the results become available, you may be required to self-quarantine. A similar process will be available for passengers arriving by sea or land.

You won’t need to state your location — you will only need to provide your mobile phone and email for contact.

Authorities warned that if you don’t fill out the form in advance, you could face a long wait at the border.
