Prague's food scene is about to get a major upgrade with the opening of Burger Service – a new fast-casual restaurant bringing gourmet burgers to the city's busy Revoluční Street.

Under the direction of Ambiente chef Radek Pecko, Burger Service promises to satisfy lunchtime and late-night cravings with three types of burgers – classic cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger, and double smash burger – and fries, all of which can be ordered in a combo.

Locally sourced ingredients include meat from the Čestr breed by Amaso, freshly baked buns, and a variety of tempting sides from beef-tallow or truffle fries and pickled vegetables to coleslaw. Burger Service also caters to meat lovers and vegetarians alike: herbivores can enjoy fried cheese on a bun.

A key focus is the freshly baked buns, which Pecko maintains are vital to elevating the burger experience. Lending his expertise is Petr Benda, general manager of Karlín Bufet restaurant, who assisted Pecko in perfecting the bun technique.

"Rather than slicing through each bun half, we bake them separately to achieve the lightness and structure to hold the burger without becoming soggy. But we also ensure they don't dry out so the textures complement one another," said Benda.

Packaging also plays an important role: Burger Service's eco-conscious Ideabrill packaging is good for both burgers and the environment and keeps the burgers juicy for longer, replacing traditional foil wrappers.

The industrial-style dining space with its exposed ductwork ceiling and stone accents on serving surfaces is enhanced by a logo that changes color according to what kind of burger is ordered.

This dedication to detail is what Pecko believes will set Burger Service apart from ordinary fast food and truly satisfy the discerning palates of Prague.

With its late operating hours and focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients, Burger Service aims to establish itself as a go-to spot for hamburgers in the heart of Prague.

Burger Service is open from Monday to Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Its burger prices range from CZK 145 to 255, while the combos with a soft drink and a side dish cost from CZK 258 to 368.
