A “sharp-eyed” Twitter user is being credited as the first to capture Democratic Presidental candidate Hillary Clinton collapsing into her motorcade, a medical scare that has since been chalked up to pneumonia and is causing an uproar on the campaign trail.

That Twitter user was in fact Czech. Zdeněk Gažda, a native of Lednice in South Moravia who has lived in New York for twenty-four years, was attending the 9/11 remembrance ceremony in lower Manhattan this past weekend when he saw Clinton and her security team waiting on the curb for transport to arrive.

The former firefighter began filming, eventually capturing the moment when the nominee stumbles and faints into a waiting black van.

Since posting the footage to his Twitter account on Sunday Gažda has told Czech and American media outlets that he has received more than 26,000 e-mails.

He says that he had no idea that the publication of his video would cause an international stir and was unaware that he was the only bystander to have captured Clinton’s moment of weakness.

Clinton has purportedly spent the past couple of days recovering at her home in Chappaqua, N.Y.
