Video: Czech "Dress like an American" party goes viral on TikTok

Video of an American-themed party reportedly held in Prague has gone viral on TikTok over the last few days, racking up over three million views and making headlines in Newsweek.

TikTok user Kelsey Anne Gregg, A California native currently living in the Czech Republic, posted video of the party to the social media platform earlier this week while praising the costumes.

Those costumes included a lot of red flannel, straw hats, jeans, and even one participant who draped himself with an American flag.

"I went to an American-themed party in Europe (as an American)," Gregg wrote. "I was not disappointed."

"Everyone in America looks like this 100%."

In TikTok comments on the video, debate raged whether the predominant look was (United States) American or Canadian.

"Flannel is Canadian," wrote one user. "American is tank tops and cargo shorts I don't make the rules."

The exact location of the party was not disclosed, but Gregg tagged the video #prague and #czech.
