Expert Market, a team of business-resource specialists based in the UK, has compiled a new study showcasing the best countries around the globe for those who wish to swap the daily grind for the freedom of self-employment.

The Czech Republic came in #10 out of 57 countries ranked according to eight factors that impact the quality of life for digital nomads.

Those factors include the cost of living, income tax, access to credit, average internet speed, transport networks, free wi-fi availability, cost of a coffee, and ease of starting a business.

Each country’s weighted average was calculated using data from all of these factors to work out an overall score.

Hong Kong is considered the best place to be your own boss for its low income-tax rate and world-class transport system; Eastern European countries, however, dominated the lower half of the top ten for their “ideal combination of low costs of living and strong business opportunities.”

In related news, the largest co-working center in Europe and the second-largest Impact Hub in the world opened in Brno in January 2018.

The new premises have a total area of 3,450 square meters, making it second only to the Seattle branch. Both locations are part of a worldwide network of 89 co-working spaces.
