In 2016, 3600 wines from 41 different countries competed for bragging rights that included entry in the guide book 1000 Vins du mond (1000 Wines of the World).
25 Czech wines made the cut – all of them whites and rosés, and predominantly from Moravian vineyards. Seven Czech wines were certified with a gold medal, with 18 taking home a silver.
