Underscoring Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ dedication to environmental sustainability, the Sheraton Prague Hotel is proud to participate once again in the important worldwide event Earth Hour. Following positive feedback last year from our guests and associates, the Sheraton Prague Hotel invites all environment-minded people for a sparkling wine toast in the Hotel Lobby on Saturday 26 March at 20:30, compliments of Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

Everyone is also more than welcome to enjoy our special “FOUR ELEMENTS@EARTH HOUR” menu prepared by Sheraton Prague’s Executive Chef Jan Pípal, which will be served at the Brasserie Délice on this day from 18:00 until 22:30 in a romantic candle lit atmosphere. This special menu was inspired by planet Earth’s 4 basic elements – Fire, Earth, Air and Water.
To support the Earth Hour 2011, the Sheraton Prague Hotel will turn off all the facade lights, as well as all the lights in the Lobby and Brasserie Délice. For one hour, the Lobby and Brasserie Délice will be lit only by candles, creating a pleasant and romantic atmosphere.

Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia when 2.2 million individuals and more than 2,000 businesses turned their lights off for one hour to take a stand against climate change. On Saturday 27 March, Earth Hour 2010 became the biggest Earth Hour ever. A record 128 countries and territories joined the global display of climate action.

This year will mark the third annual participation of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. in Earth Hour, making it one of the biggest companies to create a statement with a voluntary hour of darkness. Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. is one of the leading hotel and leisure companies in the world with 1025 properties in 100 countries and territories with 145,000 employees at its owned and managed properties.
