Manifesto Market, the first cashless marketplace in the Czech Republic, will reopen after a short winter break on March 15th.

In its spring 2019 season, the popular shipping-container venue will host Michelin-rated chef Matteo de Carli from Ryba jeryba, Poké Haus, and authentic Sicilian pizza and Neapolitan street food from San Carlo.

Several new additions to its lineup of pop-up restaurants include Levitate’s chef Christian Duy Chu, QQ Kitchen, Le Valmont bar, and Prague microbrewery, Vinohradský pivovar.

Last year, 650 000 people – about half of Prague – visited the venue which was nominated for the Retailer of the Year and won the Best Customer Experience award.

Organizers have set the bar for 2019 even higher:

“We can’t wait to toast our first visitors with Vinohradský pivovar’s brew, served in Manifesto branded, traditional glasses. Not only will it improve the experience of our customers, but we will also eliminate a huge quantity of single-use compostable cups,” said Martin Barry co-founder of the initiative.

In 2019, the market will also launch digital tools to shorten delivery times, make payments even easier, enable table service or even pre-ordering.

At least one-third of the containers are dedicated to emerging businesses, providing young and talented entrepreneurs a low cost of entry opportunity and good visibility and exposure in gastro-incubator settings.

Among the 21 food and beverage concepts that will open this season, visitors can sample Asian, Latino, Italian, American, Hawaiian cuisine, French bakery, Dutch pancakes, Faency Fries, and more.

During the spring season, Manifesto will keep its winter igloos; a larger space will be created to host concerts, social events, and garden parties.

Parties will be organized two times a month. Saturdays and Sundays will be dedicated to brunches and music after Friday’s Nightmarkets.

Films curated by Aerofilms will return in May; the big screen will show sports broadcasts. An Easter market with a Manifesto twist is also planned.

Open in summer 2018, Manifesto Market is a gastro and cultural market which transformed a former wasteland and no-go zone in the heart of Prague into a vibrant urban space.

Local design and artisanal products will also be available and Manifesto offers daily free cultural programs presenting top local DJs, live music, performances and classes.

Opening days in March: Thu-Sun. From April, open 7 days a week.
