Get Rid of Your Tree — Tree disposal in Prague runs through February. According to Prague Waste Services, Christmas trees don’t belong in mixed-waste containers but next to the bins where a dedicated vehicle will pick it up. Some 300,000 Christmas trees are picked up by the city annually.

Find a New Job — Those searching for teaching jobs take note: January is a secondary hiring season in the Czech Republic (Sept-Oct is the primary season) when teachers complete their contracts and leave the country, opening new vacancies.
