Reportedly, the apartment fire started at around 13.30 in Chodov. At 19.53, the fire department tweeted that the fire brigade managed to localize the fire and reduced the number of units at the scene.
During the operation, 33 people were evacuated. No injuries have been reported.
Preliminary damage caused by the fire is estimated at around CZK 100 million.
The investigation of the amount of damage and the cause of the fire will take place tomorrow morning.
The fire department's Twitter account also reported that the units were intervening in a special level of fire alarm.
As the fire was spreading from the apartment to the roof, the fire-fighters were trying to locate the fire.

The fire has been visible from several parts of Prague.

The fire department account also tweeted that the chemical service did not measure any elevated levels in the air.
