European Coffee Trip (ECT) has unveiled the winners of its 2024 awards, recognizing ten standout specialty coffee shops across the Czech Republic. The ranking, now in its 10th year, is a caffeinated guide to the specialty coffee culture across Europe.

More than 5,750 users of the ECT mobile app—founded by tech enthusiasts in Czechia—participated in this year’s voting. Each voter could nominate up to three favorite cafes, resulting in a list of coffee shops that exemplify quality and craftsmanship.

Cafes from Prague, Brno, and České Budějovice dominated the Czech rankings, with five Prague-based establishments earning spots on the coveted list. See the full rankings here to find a quality cup in Czechia or seek out must-visit cafés abroad.

EMA Espresso Bar, situated in Florenc (Prague 8), boasts coffee sourced from the Alf & Bet roastery and bakery. Known for its inviting ambiance, it’s a good place to pair coffee with fresh pastries, the app users said.

This Karlín-based café specializes in Doubleshot coffee and cakes from Sladké confectionery.

Four cafes based in Czechia’s second-largest city, Brno, also made the cut.

This Brno establishment earned its spot for more than its expertly brewed coffee. Monogram also offers barista courses and workshops for home coffee enthusiasts.

Industra Coffee, Brno

Housed in Nové Zbrojovka, Industra Coffee merges industrial charm with artisanal brewing. It features coffee from its own roastery and frequently hosts pop-up events.

STAV SE, Brno

Rounding out the list, STAV SE stands out with its no-laptop policy, encouraging guests to savor their drinks distraction-free. Its varied menu ensures a memorable experience.

Kmen Coffee Roasters in České Budějovice was the only coffee shop outside Czechia's two big cities to feature in the list. Located on Lannova Street, this café is known for its natural design and plant-themed decor. Kmen Coffee Roasters packages its coffee with symbolic flavor-inspired art.
