With some 200 parks and gardens to its name, Prague is a picnicker’s paradise. And if you like a little smoke and fire with your outdoor dining experience, you’ll be pleased to note that the city of Prague has opened two new grilling locations just in time for the 2018 season. High-quality grills with tables for large groups have been installed in Central Park, Stodůlky and at Chudenická near Hostivař.

There’s also a couple new picnic services sure to delight: The National Museum of Agriculture in Letná, which opened its rooftop meadow last year, is now loaning out blankets, basket, and utensils for a small fee. Žluté lázně has expanded its picnic baskets menu this year to include panini, salads, pickled vegetables, cheese, and wine which can be enjoyed on a grassy bank of the Vltava.

Two weeks ago, grocery service Rohlík.cz launched delivery to Stromovka, Letná, Riegrovy sady, Parukářka, Ladronka, and Náplavka; DameJidlo will continue its Pick-Up Point delivery this year, bringing food from Prague restaurants to popular locations like Grébovka and Petřín.

Another lesser-known option for getting your grill on? Ježkovy Voči Bar & Tapas, unique for its funky seating sourced from retro public transport. For just 30 CZK, the bar’s courtyard can be used to host a grill party.

A new map highlights some additional “hidden” spots for firing up the bbq in Prague; it features a 360-degree view map of each venue and important info like the proximity to toilets and drinking water. These are just some of the grill areas from the map:
