USA´s Lime House Theater Collective to perform at
Fringe Festival Praha, 2008.

Hallucinogenic Toreador, a DaDa Exploration, a performance piece from the Ohio based Lime House Theater Collective, has been invited to perform at this summer´s Fringe Festival Praha.  They will perform every night of the festival from Sunday May 25 to Sunday June 1 at 21:30 at Divadlo Na Pradle – Kavarna. (Besedni 3, Mala Strana, Praha 1)

Hallucinogenic Toreador, a DaDa Exploration is an exploration of Salvador Dali´s most autobiographical painting.  It is a spontaneous, irrational, systematic performance that combines images, text and action in an effort to express but never explain Dali´s persona and the ongoing manifestations of his own creative process as fractured and fragmented through the many facets of Dadaism, Cubism, Freudian Theory, Surrealism and ultimately, Dalism,  The show is a collaboration between directors, actors, choreographers and designers.  The text was influenced by the artists´ own dreams and interpretations.

Lime House Theater Collective believes that with the world as our stage, the expression and exploration of the world’s diversity is critical to our art. Lime House uses non-traditional processes and performance to shatter the current theatrical paradigm. As we encounter new artists abroad, we seek to collaborate globally and locally for continuous change and influence on our aesthetic. By nurturing the artist’s individuality and formulating questions about their impact on the footprint of the world, the work created becomes a reflection of our universal truths and unites us in our humanity.
