Prague has already begun transforming into a city of chills and thrills as Halloween approaches next Thursday. Whether you’re looking for spooky parties, festive brunches, or hauntingly good films, we’ve rounded up the top events happening around the city over the following week.

DANCING FEVER

Parties are lighting up bars, clubs, and even monasteries this Hallo-week, with evocative decor, costuming, and music to boot. If you’re looking to go all-out and flaunt that costume of yours, there are some huge bashes to look forward to.

Get your last minute tickets for the Prague Blood Ball tomorrow on Oct. 26, a queer event that will showcase “everything unusual and unexpected.” Drag queens and kings, burlesque dancers, circus acts and more will gather at PM Club for a night of debauchery. In the same vein, Bloody Sexy Halloween at SaSaZu on Nov. 1 and Nov. 2 will see incredible performances and a slew of Halloween enthusiasts for the “sexiest halloween party in Central Europe.”

If you’re a student and seeking a younger crowd, the Erasmus Halloween Party at VR Play Park is a great way to meet people, parade your costume in a contest, and partake in virtual reality quests on Oct. 31. Also on Halloween night, the American watering hole Bar Food in Žižkov is transforming into a haunted hideout, with spooky-themed drinks and live performances from local expats.

For a party where the venue is the main character, the SOUND event at Gabriel Loci will appease alternative crowds and techno fans. Wander through the seemingly infinite halls of the monastery in a daze of thumping beats and evocative light shows on Nov. 1.

Don’t worry; there’s plenty of parties for the less club-inclined.
