The Colours of Ostrava International Music Festival continues to add marquee acts to its growing line up of musicians for its 2020 outing. Following this month’s announcement of first-confirmed headliners Twenty One Pilots, festival organizers have now announced that folk-rockers The Lumineers are joining the bill.

Known for their contagious melodies and powerful lyrics, the Grammy-nominated American group, led by singer and guitarist Wesley Schultz, drummer Jeremiah Fraites, and cellist Neyla Pekarek performed to a sell-out crowd in Prague’s Forum Karlin in November of this year. The group has opened for U2 and Tom Petty and recently released a short-film trilogy as a companion to their latest album, III.

“The seven newly published names, including The Lumineers and Sigrid, illustrate the great variety of genres that Colours of Ostrava possesses,” says festival director Zlata Holušová. “What they have in common is that they will offer a great concert experiences to the visitors,” she adds.
