Food delivery services have taken Prague by storm in recent years, with popular resources like Dáme jídlo bringing cuisine from hundreds of restaurants across the city right into its customers’ living rooms.
But what if you’re not at home and you’d like to enjoy a meal from your favorite restaurant? What if you’re relaxing in the middle of one of Prague’s spacious parks and get the hankering for a bite?
Well, now you can let the picnic come to you thanks to Dáme jídlo’s new Pick-Up Point service, which delivers meals to pre-arranged spots throughout Prague parks and other locations.
In the mobile Dáme jídlo app, a new map allows users on the go to specify pick-up points from a variety of predetermined locations that include areas in and around Prague’s parks and other outdoor spaces.
Locations include, for example, three pick-up points around Riegrovy sady, home to one of Prague’s popular summertime beer gardens, two in Prague 7’s Letná, and another in nearby Stromovka park.
Other locations in Prague now serviced by Dáme jídlo include Petřín Park, popular riverfront destinations Náplavka and Smíchovská Náplavka, Parukářka, Havlíčkovy sady, Kavčí hory, and more.
Prague isn’t the only Czech city to get in on Dáme jídlo’s new pickup point action: the service also offers food delivery to Brno’s Kraví hora and other parks, with plans to bring the feature to more locations throughout the Czech Republic.
To order food to one of the pick-up points, simply choose a location on Dáme jídlo’s mobile app map and place an order as usual. The app will let you know exactly when the food will be delivered to the pick-up point.
Don’t have a pick-up point in your favorite Prague park? If you’d like to suggest a pickup point not offered by Dáme jídlo, you can do so via the official website.
