Metro service on the C line between the Pražského povstání and Hlavní nádraží stations will be suspended from the start of July 4 to the end of July 12 so repairs can be done to the tracks.

In daily operation, there will be an alternative bus line XC introduced in a route covering the stops Pražského povstání – Vyšehrad – IP Pavlova – Muzeum – Hlavní nádraží. Locations of the XC bus stops can be seen on the DPP website.

Due to the closure of the Muzeum metro station on line C, there is no direct transfer between lines A and C at the station. People can use the alternative bus service XC , or travel using line B with transfers at the Florenc and Můstek stations to get from the A to C lines.

At the Hlavní nádraží stop, passengers in wheelchairs, by prior arrangement with the driver, are allowed to get off the XC bus in the area next to the elevators to the train station hall.

For line number 134, the Pražského povstání stop is relocated for the direction of Dvorce approximately 25 meters forward, for the direction of Podolská vodárna approximately 20 meters back.

The DPP will be distributing information leaflets in metro stations, at surface transport stops in the affected area and in surface transport vehicles, and announcements will be made on the metro’s public address system. Standing information boards and electronic information panels will be present in stations.

At and near the closed metro stations, information specialists in reflective vests and equipped with protective aids will give out details in Czech and English.

The closure was planned so that it would cause the least inconvenience to people, as the July 4–6 is a three-day weekend, and many people will be out of town for vacations.

In total during summer 2020, DPP will carry out 300 million CZK worth of repairs and renovations to tram and metro lines.
