Last Friday saw a new tram stop go into action in the Czech capital.

The Prague Transport Company built the new stop on the unused rails in front of the planetarium.

“Planetarium Praha” will serve as a boarding station for historic tram 41, utilizing the original tram tracks installed in the 19th century.

The historic tram will run on weekends and public holidays until November. There is no Lítačka available on this line, passengers must buy a special ticket in the car.

The tram is unique in that it has to go into reverse to make pick ups.

The fare on the historical line is CZK 35 for adults, for children up to the age of 15 and retirees over the age of 70, the fare is CZK 20.

DPP has more information on historic tram 41 here.
