Local fans of 80s-era video games will have been to the Arcade Museum in Červený Újezd, near Unhošť. Luckily for Prague-based nostalgia gamers a new opportunity for manning a joystick with beer in hand has come to the center of Prague.

Located on Jindřišská street, Joystick Bar serves craft beers including Únětice, rotating special taps, and game-themed cocktails like the Mortal Kombat, a concoction of gin, lime juice, and grenadine.

Classic games include Mortal Kombat, Terminator 2, and a number of pinball machines (an upcoming flipper tournament will be held on the Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein console).

Another intersting event for arcade buffs will take place on Oct 1; the bar is organizing a swap-and-sell meet-up for collectors of vintage gaming gear.

Opened earlier this summer, the owners of Joystick were inspired by the successful American chain Barcade as well as the above mentioned Arcade Museum outside of Prague.
