Where are the world’s most iconic Christmas trees?

New York’s Rockefeller Center, London’s St. Pancras Station, and Paris’ Galeries Lafayette department store contain some of the most recognizable Christmas setups across the globe.

What about Prague’s Old Town Square?

Popular US lifestyle magazine Town & Country has included Prague’s Old Town Square Christmas tree as one of their “20 Of the Most Magnificent Christmas Trees Around the World.”

The list also includes the cities above, along with some more unusual choices, like a tree made out of old windows in Rakvere, Estonia, a Lego tree in Melbourne, Australia, and a 118-foot tall LED tree in Banciao, Taiwan.

Also included are an “environmentally-friendly” tree in Manilla that is constructed out of used Mountain Dew bottles, and the world’s largest natural Christmas tree, a 115-foot (35-meter) white fir.

This year, Prague’s tree in Old Town Square is a 23-meter Norway Spruce from Česká Lípa.

While the annual tree-lighting ceremony was cancelled in light of the recent terror attacks in Paris, the tree was unofficially lit on November 28 and can be visited throughout the holiday season.
