Trip Advisor has just announced its Top 25 Hotels in the World for 2017—the BoHo Prague, a 5-star boutique hotel on Senovážné náměstí, was named #5 on the booking site’s list of the best accommodation around the globe.

The top 5 was dominated by European hotels, including Budapest’s Aria, which took top honors as the best hotel in the world according to Trip Advisor user rankings.

Across the board, hotels in Prague placed well in a number of categories. In the Top 25 Service category, Hotel Pod Vezi came in #2 in the world. Hotel Residence Agnes placed #4 in service and was also named #25 in the Top 25 Small Hotels in the world category.

The Top 25 B&Bs and Inns in the world also included a Czech pick—though not a cozy cottage in the rolling Bohemian countryside, but rather the Arcadia Residence (#6) a stylish Prague apartment in the heart of Old Town.

Last year’s third best hotel in the world and top European luxury hotel, U zlaté studně Hotel in Prague, slipped to #11 in the world luxury category.

Trip Advisor spokeswoman Hayley Coleman said the awards, now in their 15th year, are based on feedback from actual guests over the past year, making them prized within the industry and unlike any other hospitality awards.

Also of local interest: LEGOLAND Feriendorf in Gunzburg Germany placed #7 on the list of Top 25 hotels in the world for families.
