2007’s Prague Marathon is upon us, bringing with it an abundance of accompanying events. The Marathon Sport Expo, Marathon Music Festival, Caddy City Run (8 km), Golf Plus Family Run (4 km), Walk For Health (2 km), & Algida In-line Race (10 km) all lead up to the 2007 Volkswagen Prague Marathon (42.195 km).

DON´T MISS THE NEW SPORTS SHOW!
Prague International Marathon, together with Incheba Expo Praha, is organizing within the Volkswagen Marathon Weekend a sports fair Marathon Sport Expo from May 10th to May 12th in the left wing of the Prumyslovy palac building. The fair is free and open to the public. Everybody can register for all competitive and non-competitive runs, for the Saturday May 12 : Golf Plus Family Run 4 km, Caddy City Run 8 km, Walk For Health 2 km, Algida In-line Race 10 km and Sunday May 13 Volkswagen Prague Marathon 42,195 km… (click here for more info)

Marathon Music Festival

The blowout event of the PIM Running Season, of course, is the big charity concert featuring several big famous bands. The Carnival Parade takes place on May 12 on Old Town Square in the historical center of Prague. Music on the course. Music by the river. Music in the Square. There is no escape. It´s all possible thanks in large part to the various Prague districts – on both sides of the Vltava – through which the courses run… (click here for more info)

Caddy City Run (8 km)
Saturday May 12, 15:00
Start: Wenceslas Square, Na přikopě st.

Non-competitive runs through Prague´s historical city center (with no cars) will certainly delight everybody who enjoys staying active and doing something for his health. Each participant will enjoy an exciting afternoon of sport, and an accompanying cultural program… (click here for more info)

Golf Plus Family Run (4 km)
Saturday May 12, 15:20
Start: Wenceslas Square, Na přikopě st.

The course, which everyone, including families with children, will find fairly easy to manage, attracts thousands of casual runners each year who just run for fun. Come in costume to make it even more enjoyable! For the second year in a row, the Eco Run is staged as part of the Family Run… (click here for more info)

Walk For Health (2 km)

Start: Wenceslas Square, Na přikopě st.

This year we have added a brand new project within the PIM Running circuit. The Walk For Health is about remembering the importance of movement and healthier lives.  It’s for everyone who would like to take a gentle stroll through Prague’s city center with no cars, and who would like to help call attention to the growing world-wide problem of inactivity and poor health. PIM will be working with various partners, at our events, to heighten awareness around healthier living, so keep your eyes open for more information along our courses. A portion of the entry fee, of each runner, will be donated to UNICEF in support of children’s health programs… (click here for more info)

Algida In-line Race (10 km)

Start: Nábřeží Ludvíka Svobody

For the first time in the history of our in-line race, we´ll be recording official finish times. It will make a this wonderful experience all the more interesting for both professional skaters and those who just want to enjoy a trouble-free/car-free skate through Prague´s center… (click here for more info)

Volkswagen Prague Marathon (42.195 km)
Sunday May 13, 09:00
Start: Old Town Square

The race is open to all runners over 18 years of age, which are officially registered. Men and women have a distinct classification and the veteran categories are in accordance to the international rules of the IAAF. Again this year, as a part of the Volkswagen Prague Marathon, the Czech Marathon Championship will be held… (click here for more info)
