Prague, June 30 (CTK) – The Prague Marathon and Half Marathon international events, which were postponed until this autumn due to the coronavirus pandemic, were cancelled this year, along with the 10-km Grand Prix elite race, RunCzech organisational committee head Carlo Capalbo has announced on Facebook.
The Prague Marathon, part of the RunCzech series, originally scheduled for May 3, was to be held on September 5, while the half-marathon was postponed from March 28 until September 6.
The organizers of the Czech elite runs are still preparing the regional half marathons in cities across the Czech Republic, however.
These runs are planned for Usti nad Labem, north Bohemia, Olomouc, central Moravia, Karlovy Vary, west Bohemia, and Ceske Budejovice, south Bohemia, and the cross race Liberec Nature Run in the north Bohemian town.
These runs are scheduled for dates throughout September and October.
