Prague's market in Holešovice will be adorned with festive cheer as it hosts the inaugural Ukrainian-Czech Christmas market on Sunday, December 17. The event is organized by the Organization for Aid to Refugees, with the primary objective of supporting Ukrainian refugees who seek to showcase their crafts in the Czech Republic.

This unique market serves as a convergence point for culture, art, tradition, and modern design, creating an ambiance resonating with stories of courage and resilience. It comes off the back of successful appearances from Ukrainian artisans at previous Mint Market events at the venue, which saw handmade goods from refugees completely sell out.

The Ukrainian-Czech Christmas market will take place in Holešovice Market's hall No. 17, and opens its doors from 12:00 p.m., offering visitors a wide array of products from numerous vendors. Shoppers can explore and purchase items such as Christmas decorations, candles, knitted goods, jewelry, ceramics, and much more.

"This market is not just a place to buy Christmas gifts," reads the event's Facebook page. "It is a place where culture, art, tradition and modern design meet. A space where every step resonates with stories of courage and resilience, you feel the spirit of Christmas with every breath. Christmas, which is a symbol of hope, light and community."

An accompanying program begins at 1:00 p.m. and runs through the evening hours. Attendees can enjoy live musical performances, engaging lectures, and a screening of a Ukrainian film.

Furthermore, the market organizers have prepared three creative workshops catering to both adults and children. Entry to all workshops will be free, providing an interactive and immersive experience for those seeking to participate actively.

The market aims to create a space where every purchase contributes to the resilience and well-being of Ukrainian refugees in the Czech Republic. The spirit of Christmas will be palpable at this market, fostering a sense of hope and community as visitors engage with the rich tapestry of culture and craftsmanship.

For those looking to add a touch of cultural richness to their Christmas celebrations, the Ukrainian-Czech Christmas market at Holešovice Market promises an experience filled with warmth, creativity, and the spirit of giving.
