What are the best restaurants in Europe?

If money is no object, you might want to have a look at TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards for 2016, which features the highest-rated fine dining restaurants across the EU by users of the popular travel website.

Unsurprisingly, the top 25 is dominated by restaurants in Spain (with 6 restaurants in the top 25), France (5), the United Kingdom (5), and Italy (3).

Spain’s Martin Berasategui in Lasarte, owner of three Michelin Stars, took home the number 1 position. The only restaurants not from the four countries above to make the top 20 were Funky Gourmet in Athens and the Artist in Bucharest.

Towards the end of the list, however, restaurants from Norway, Denmark, Portugal, the Netherlands, and even the Czech Republic managed to crack the top 25.

Prague’s Alcron Restaurant, located inside New Town’s Radisson Blu Hotel, came in at 22 on the list of the best Fine Dining experiences in Europe. The restaurant has an average rating of approximately 4.5 from more than 1,000 reviews on TripAdvisor.

The Alcron is one of only three restaurants in the Czech capital to currently hold a Michelin Star, alongside La Degustation Bohême Bourgeoise and the newish Field.

Still, the Alcron isn’t TripAdvisor’s highest-rated dining location in Prague.

That honor currently goes to the wine bar Wine O”Clock Shop Prague, which opened in 2015 and has a near-perfect 5-star rating from nearly 500 reviews.
