The event calendar for 2022 is filled with newly announced concerts and festivals, plus rescheduled performances from 2020 and 2021. The outlook for many live shows still depends on the development of the pandemic.
Restrictions for attending performances and events can be found here. Currently, a maximum of 1,000 people can attend cultural or sporting events and must be seated. Attendees show proof of Covid vaccination or recovery, with some exceptions. Organizers must check certificates by scanning QR codes. Respirators are required inside venues.
The rules are expected to be relaxed in the spring and summer if the pandemic subsides. Ticket sellers must offer refunds if events are canceled, but if the concert is postponed people should keep their tickets which will remain valid for the new date.

Spring and summer see veteran rockers like Eric Clapton, Aerosmith, Kiss, and Patti Smith and recent hitmakers like Shawn Mendes, 5 Seconds of Summer, and One Republic play Prague. Fans of ’80s music can look forward to live shows by Pet Shop Boys, A-Ha, and the Cure.
For heavy metal fans, this year promises Helloween, Scorpions, Iron Maiden, the Offspring, and Whitesnake. For easier listening, Enrique Iglesias, Celine Dion, Alicia Keys, and Zaz are scheduled to perform.
Large outdoor concerts include Rammstein, Imagine Dragons, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, all appearing at Letiště Letňany on different dates. Several film festivals are scheduled to take place throughout the year as well. The One World documentary festival is slated for the end of March. Days of European Film and Febiofest are tentatively going ahead in April. The French film festival should occur at the end of November. Other film festival dates have not yet been specified. The Signal festival of light art is scheduled for early October.
The popular annual Museum Night has not yet been scheduled and likely won't take place. But both Church Night (Noc kostelů) and Open House Prague are for those who like to peek inside buildings.
