Prague based theatre company Blood, Love and Rhetoric is excited to announce its Autumn 2010 season. Moving away from the theatre of the absurd, this years line up will be a series of Horror plays – first Agamemnon and the horrors of war, followed by Lovecraft, a feast of 1920s supernatural horror fiction adapted for the stage, and finally Marlowe´s classic The Tragical History of Dr Faustus.

The name of the theatre company was inspired by the Player´s speech in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead by Tom Stoppard- the very play that opened Blood, Love and Rhetoric´s first season back in November 2009; a season which also included the Memorandum by Vaclav Havel, The Birthday Party by Harold Pinter and an evening of Chekhov Plays as well as a student production of Ashes to Ashes by Harold Pinter (playing this summer at the Edinburgh Fridge Festival).

Based in the atmospheric theatre of Divadlo Inspirace, in the heart of Prague’s Malá Strana, Blood, Love and Rhetoric focuses not just on the play but on the  entire evening both on and off stage. The cast, production crew and events management team work together to ensure their audience a great night out with plenty to talk about.

Blood, Love and Rhetoric is proud to be working with The English College in Prague and FAMU, providing students with acting opportunities and marketing and events management internships.
