This Sunday, the third edition of Prague’s annual Puppy Day will be held in Stromovka Park to bring attention to the illegal dog trade and unlicensed breeding.

The event also hopes to help local animals in need: dogs from local shelters will be brought to the park to meet visitors and potentially find a new home.

Residents with their own pets are encouraged to come along for a program that includes doggy pedicures and canine massages using the special Dorn method.

The event will be moderated by actresses Patricia Solaříková and Jana Stryková.

While this is the third edition of Puppy Day in Prague, National Puppy Day in the US, organized to help promote adoption, dates back ten years.

Come out to area by Slechtovka Restaurant at Stromovka this Sunday from 14:00 to meet dogs from local shelters or mingle with your own.
