Tourists and Czech residents alike will have a new way to see Prague and historic sights across Czech Republic this summer.

Czech Airlines will offer round trip, scenic flights over Czech Republic and the capital city Prague this month for a limited time.

The aerial tours will fly over historic spots like Prague, the Křivoklát, Točník, Karlštejn and Český Šternberk castles, in addition to the Zbiroh, Konopiště and Kostelec nad Černými Lesy chateaus.

In addition, during the flight loop, guests will be able to look out over the Slapy and Klíčava reservoirs, the Sázava monastery, the Ondřejov observatory and other scenic and significant spots.

Experienced pilots will fly the tours at a low altitude for guests to see each spot: just 800 meters above the sights and terrain.

The first tours will take place on July 11 and July 12, with more dates added if the tours become popular. The tour, on an ATR 72 with 70 seats, will take approximately 40 minutes.

The flights have been assigned the OK 97 flight code in honor of the airlines’ 97th birthday this year. Though the tickets state the final destination is Kunovice Airport, the flight will take off and land at Prague Airport.

The flights are part of Prague Airport’s newly opened Runway Park, a unique complex on a former runway track open until August 30. The park, only open this year, will have a variety of events for the entire family, including aircraft on the runway, themed weekends (like a race on the runway), exhibitions of equipment and more. If you wish to fly, you will need a face mask that covers both your nose and mouth before boarding. Be prepared to wear it during the entire flight.

If you’re interested, you can snag tickets here for 1.490 CZK per person, including all fees. You will be able to select seats when buying your ticket.
