What are your favorite coffee brands sold in Czech stores? Soon Tchibo, Jacobs, Davidoff, and the like will see some competition on local supermarket shelves.

In February, Nestlé acquired a license to sell American coffee brand Starbucks worldwide, launching on 14 markets around the world.

Now the full range of Starbucks coffee products — ground and whole beans, pods, and capsules — is set to debut in the Czech Republic later this summer.

“We see this as an opportunity for consumers who like this brand. For Starbucks, it means faster growth and reach for customers outside their cafes,” Jane Aldridge, coffee manager at Nestlé Czech Republic and Slovakia, said.

“We count on deliveries to all major retailers and e-shops,” she said, adding, “People have become more and more interested in coffee lately and are inspired by new coffee trends and consumption at home.”

According to data provided by consulting firm Nielsen, and gathered by Czech news server Aktualne.cz, the domestic consumption of coffee in the Czech Republic is currently on the rise.

There are currently 45 Starbucks outlets in the Czech Republic.
