TEATROTOČ STREET THEATRE FESTIVAL

July 11 – 13, Park Kampa, Prague 1

Teatrotoč invites you to our 9th annual street theatre festival, beloved especially by families and children.  Our festival features

Street theatre artists – puppeteers- jugglers- stilt walkers- children´s craft workshop

You can see over 40 performances by more than 15 Czech and international companies in Kampa park close to the „Werich House“.  Participants come from the Czech Republic, USA, UK, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Iceland, Finland, Italy, and Japan.

All peformances are free to the public.  

Don´t miss:

– An international company of artists from the USA, Australia, Canada and Japan created a unique puppet version of Pinocchio especially for this festival.  Puppets and the story of the performance were created by actors in a special workshop in Prague led by professional Czech puppeteers.     

– Marie Keller (USA) will present her new children´s performance, The Bug Cabaret. She has brought together a team of international musicians and puppeteers from Iceland, Finland, Canada, Italy and the Czech Republic to create this show in Prague.

FEATURED EMPLOYERS

– The festival features many other premieres. The company Puppets without Borders will present its new show Three Bears and Naughty Masha. Štepánka Glogarová will bring audiences The Ugly Duckling and Brazian Gil Conti will perform Alice in Wonderland.

– As always, the festival includes a chilldren´s crafts workshop where kids can make masks, puppets, toys, and even their own small puppet theatre from 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. every day.

Children´s Workshop- every day from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A space where children and their parents can create!  With the help of artists from the company Puppets Without Borders, children can make their own simple puppet, mask, toy, or even their very own theatre.

Juggler Erik – master of comedic juggling – 11:30 a.m. English-friendly
Three Bears and Naughty Masha – classic fairy tale with puppets. Performed by D. Bouzková,- 12 p.m.
Alice in Wonderland -with puppets by Brazilian artist G. Conti – 12 p.m. English-friendly
Baron Prášil – visit the magic world of Baron Prášil. Performed by T. Běhal, V. Maštalíř – 12.30 p..m.
Ugly Duckling- premiere of puppet show. With Š. Glogarová – 1:30 p.m.
Mr. Snooze – performance for young kids with a sleepy puppet.  By Leah Gaffen  (USA) – 1.30 p.m. English-friendly
