The Czech Republic men's national football team, have discovered who they will face in a bid to qualify for the Qatar World Cup in 2022.

The European draw for the competition was made last night, with the Czechs in the third seeding pot meaning a tough group was likely.

They will play in Group E alongside Belgium, Wales, Belarus and Estonia.

Speaking after the draw was made, goalkeeper Tomáš Vaclík told the Fotbal.cz website:

"The group is very interesting. Belgium is, of course, the main favorite, the whole team is very crowded. They grew up with a great generation, so it's clear about the group's favorite, "

"Wales is also an attractive opponent, for example because of Gareth Bale, who will definitely get in better shape when he returns to Tottenham. As for the other teams, I didn't have the opportunity to play against these teams in the national team, so I'm looking forward to the group as such," Vaclík added.

The Czech Republic have an alternative route to the tournament, should they not qualify from this group, as they have already secured a play-off place due to winning their Nations League Group earlier this year.
