If you're burned out on home cooking, particularly all you parents out there, Easy Jídlo is the Czech answer to Blue Apron. Each month they offer a menu of 16 meal kits, which you can easily prepare at home in less than 30 minutes. The ingredients for each menu are pre-weighed, so you have exactly as much as you need with zero food waste. 

Delivery takes place between 2pm and 8pm Monday to Friday. Orders need to be placed a day in advance.

Delight and terrify the kids this Hallowe’en with some seriously scary Samhain treats. Musa Catering has put together a frightfully good Hallowe’en box, including a macabre selection of pastry pumpkins, bat crackers, witchy cupcakes and gravestone brownies. This ghoulish goodie box costs 1800kč and can be delivered anywhere in Prague.

School food for homeschooling

If your kids are hankering after the simple pleasures of the school canteen, then Zátiší will come to your rescue with ready-made canteen-style meals. These comforting portions arrive chilled and vacuum-packed and can be prepared in minutes - simply warm up the vacuum bag in a pot of hot water and serve. 

Delivery costs 59kč is available Monday to Friday, between 11am and 7pm.

For high quality Czech food at home, look no further than Menu na Doma, from the team behind The Bistro, Babiččina Zahrada and La Veranda restaurants. Their broad menu, including a choice of wines, makes it easy to conjure up a special occasion meal at home. The menu here is half-way between a meal kit and a ready-to-eat; the food is pre-cooked and vacuum-packed and comes with clear instructions to help you get it reheated and presented beautifully on a plate. 

Delivery is free for orders over 1000kc.

Asian fusion restaurant Sansho is now offering a five-course taking menu for you to enjoy at home. You can look forward to chef Paul Day’s tasty creation -- two cold starters, one hot starter, a main course and dessert -- delivered anywhere in Prague and in neighbouring suburbs. The tasting menu costs 750kč per person, including delivery.

Crisis drink delivery service

Cool cocktail bar Bonvivants are offering a “crisis cocktail” delivery service from their Vinohradská cocktail lounge. They have put together a menu of six bottled cocktails - Endless Summer, Penicillin, Tom Collins, Podraz, Negroni and Quince Daiquiri - which they hope will help you through the lockdown. Orders are accepted by phone or by Facebook messenger until 6pm each day. Delivery takes place between 6pm and 9pm. A delivery fee of 40kč is charged for deliveries up to 4km from the bar, rising to 90kč for larger distances.

Classic Comfort Food: Mac’N’Cheese

A serious lockdown demands serious comfort food and Macncheese.cz does not disappoint. Their classic mac’n cheese comes with a three-cheese sauce as standard, topped with panko breadcrumbs, spring onion and parsley. If you’d like to add some meat to your mac, they offer bacon, pulled pork, meatball, chorizo and honeyed ham options.

Lelí Hnidácovká’s cupcake creations are both mouthwatering and dazzlingly beautiful. Each beautifully crafted cupcake is an artwork in its own right, just waiting to be devoured. In addition to a menu of favourites, such as Red Velvet and Salted Caramel, she offers seasonal bakes such as Pumpkin or a forest-themed Mossy cupcake -- a spinach, avocado and banana base, with a mossy-textured green mascarpone cream.

Weekday delivery throughout Prague is 150kč. Saturday delivery is 300kč.

Czech classics to fill your fridge

If you like the comfort of knowing that you always have food in the fridge, then Ham-Ham’s vacuum meals could be just for you. The meals are pasteurized, shock-treated and individually vacuum packed, which means that they can be stored in the fridge for up to sixty days.

Delivery is offered nationwide, from 130kč.
