October 2: Pink Martini (USA)
Lucerna Music Bar, Praha
Formed in the style of a little orchestra, Pink Martini’s music transgresses genres such as latin, jazz and classic pop, guaranteeing a great variety of rhythms and fun.

October 2: Black Pus (USA) + Les Homosexuels
Strahov 007, Praha
An extraordinary event brought to Prague by drummer Brian Chippendale, also known for his collaboration with singer Björk. You should expect lots of drums, cymbals, effects, bad oscillator, plenty of energy and crazy stuff.

October 2: The Garifuna Collective (BZ)  
Palác Akropolis, Praha
A great event of world music that’s bringing traditional Caribbean Garifuna music filled with contagious rhythms and social messages. 

October 3: Jaga Jazzist (NOR)
Velký sál Lucerny, Praha
Considered to be one of the first acts of the nu-jazz movement in Scandinavia, Jaga Jazzist provides a complex type of music by virtuously blending a great number of instruments – trumpet, trombone, electric guitar, bass clarinets, tuba or vibraphone.

October 4: Ellen Allien (DE)
Roxy, Praha
Electro lovers shouldn’t miss this event by German musician and producer Ellen Allien, whose approach leads to a dance-floor oriented style.

October 4: Múm (ISL)
MeetFactory, Praha
An experimental Icelandic group approaching traditional and unconventional instruments, giving the music a strong lyrical character similar to Sigur Ros.

October  5: Joe Bonamassa (USA) 
Kongresové centrum, Praha
Highly appreciated and world-wide know American blues-rock guitarist and singer –  this event needs no other introduction, it is definitely a must!

October 6: Editors (UK)
Lucerna Music Bar, Praha
Great alternative band with indie rock influences are now touring with their their newest album The Weight of Your Love, resealed in June 2013.

October 7: Kvelertak (NOR)
Strahov 007, Praha
Some say that Nordic black-, death-,hardcore- metal are the very best out there! Kvelertak can be seen as a prove for that matter, considering they have just released their second album Meir, after having a major breakthrough with their first album in 2010.

October 8: Możdżer – Danielsson – Fresco (PL/SE/ISR)  
Divadlo Hybernia, Praha
Jazz fans should know by now about the successful  collaboration between Możdżer and Danielsson. This year, Strings of Autumn Festival gathers these two wonderful jazz musicians together with Zohar Fresco for a very powerful, deep musical experience. 

October 10: Pixies (USA)  
Lucerna Music Bar, Praha
Legendary alternative rock band from the 90’s, also known for their soundtrack Where is my mind from the movie Fight Club, Pixies are coming to Prague with the launch of their new album EP1 – another must of this month!

October 10: Peter Gabriel (UK) 
02 Arena, Praha
Whether we talk about the costumed performer from Genesis or about the mature musician with an impressive solo career, Peter Gabriel was, is and always will be an extraordinary artist! – This is, without a doubt, the most expected event in October!

October 13: The Jackets (CH) + The Maggie’s Marshmallows 
Cross Club, Praha
A promising trio from Switzerland, who managed to refresh and revolutionize the concept of the so called genre garage rock, by adding some more rock’n’roll, energy and electrifying vibes.

October 14: Parov Stelar (AT)
Incheba Arena, Praha
Electroswing and downtempo orientated, Marcus Füreder and his band know for sure how to warm up the spirits and spice up the atmosphere, assuring a night to remember.

October 17: Signal festival  (CZ)
Praha
For four days in October historical heart of Prague will be turned to a center of new technologies, amazing ideas and unbound creativity. Though, music will not be missing, so that you can enjoy yourselves at the Karel Zeman Museum, which will host two concerts of Clarinet Factory arranged as an open air audiovisual experience.

October 21-27: BE TWENTY ONE
ROXY and NoD, Praha
The legendary music club ROXY in collaboration with Experimental Space NoD holds the spectacular week-long 21st B-day celebration BE TWENTY ONE . The recently unveiled programme promises a week full of concerts, parties, exhibitions, theatre and performances presenting the best international as well as top Czech bands, djs and performers starting October 21 and finishing on October 27.

October 21: Rufus Wainwright (USA)

Stavovské divadlo, Praha
Held with the occasion of Strings of Autumn Festival, Rufus Wainwright has the looks of Nick Cave, some of Leonard Cohen’s attitude, an unique style and a fantastic voice!

October 22: Ane Brun (NOR)
Palác Akropolis, Praha
A very special, gifted singer from the North, who is coming to Prague to warm up our hearts and enlighten us with the beauty and kindness of her voice.

October 26: Deerhunter (USA) 
MeetFactory, Praha 
A cute and down to earth indie rock band, with sensitive lyrics and melodic sound, that have released their 6th album Monomania in the spring of this year.

October  29: Little Annie & Paul Wallfisch (USA) 
Potrvá, Praha
After a succesfull concert at this year’s Colours of Ostrava Festival, Paul Wallfisch returns to Prague in the company of singer, Little Annie, – a New York underground legend – and trumpeter, Paul Watson.
