Based on a Data Collect survey that polled Czechs on who they would like to see succeed current President Barack Obama (whose approval rating is up among Czechs while general sympathies for the US are low), the clear winner was Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
Stats showed that 53.6% Czechs are in favor of a Clinton presidency while only 25.6% of Czechs would vote for the Republican nominee if given the chance.
The survey also compiled a number of interesting stats related to the upcoming election. Czech supporters of Donald Trump tend to be three times more likely to support Vladimir Putin (59.4%) than those who would vote for Hillary Clinton (20.9%).
Analysts say that the data reflects a tendency for the majority of Czechs to support Democratic candidates who could be seen as less authoritative in the eyes of the world at large.
