Over the past few years, the Šelmy.cz project has been monitoring large carnivore wildlife activity in the Czech countryside.

They’ve spotted wolves, bears, and lynx. An interactive map of where the animals – or their tracks – have been spotted can be found at their website.

Most recently, nighttime cameras have caught a wolf in the Jeseníky mountains.

Videos of the wolves – including a daytime sighting of a pack last autumn and, most recently, the night-vision capture from a few days ago – can be found on their YouTube channel.

The server iDnes.cz has put together this compilation of the Šelmy.cz videos:

Be on the lookout if you’re in the area.
