The Junior Admissions Officer is responsible for the processing of student applications, ensuring the student records system is updated accurately and timely. This is an administrative role in a fast-paced environment where detail orientation and team cooperation is essential.
Reporting to the Admissions Manager on a regular basis and providing updates on the delegated tasks
Maintain and update all new and existing student information and files
Processing students’ applications and making decisions on the eligibility based on the established guidelines
Using student records systems to process applications, and ensure they are all dealt with efficiently and accurately ensuring compliance with the Admissions policies
Ability to quickly check accuracy of student applications, noticing discrepancies in detail
Collaborating closely with the Student Recruitment and Student Support teams in order to assist in maintaining high level of service to the students
Produce admission data and reports
Liaise with academic departments to easy the student’s application journey
Authenticate official documents for UK and International applicants according to established procedures
Maintain and seek knowledge of the Admissions policy and guidelines
Proficient in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications
Highly focused with strong attention to detail
Able to thrive in a fast-paced working environment
Skilled in multitasking and effectively prioritising tasks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Strong cross cultural awareness and capability to collaborate within an international team
Adaptable to changing circumstances
Possesses strong analytical abilities
Critical thinking skills: adept at identifying challenges within the Admissions process
Ability to maintain transparent and consistent communication with management.
Preferred skills, knowledge, and experience
Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel
Minimum of 3 years of prior administrative experience
Exceptional writing and presentation abilities in English
Experience in the role of Admissions Officer
