Role Description

Go Real Travel is looking for a Head of Digital Growth & SEO to drive our digital presence, optimize our search performance, build engagement through email campaigns, and implement strategies that will position us at the forefront of AI-driven search evolution. This role requires a data-driven, strategic thinker who can balance SEO expertise, paid media management, and content marketing while also coordinating with external specialists. Key Responsibilities:

SEO & Domain Authority Development

  • Develop and execute a strategic backlinking plan to build domain authority and improve search rankings.

  • Research and implement high-impact keyword strategies to optimize both evergreen content and new pages.

  • Oversee content optimization, internal linking, and technical SEO to ensure maximum visibility.

Content Strategy & Development

  • Oversee the creation and optimization of content across various front-end formats, including:

    - Blogs – Engaging, SEO-optimized articles covering travel tips, trends, and destination insights.

    - Trip Itineraries – Optimize our automatically generated itineraries to increase web traffic and conversions to leads.

    - Destination Pages – In-depth, location-specific content that highlights key attractions, logistics, and local insights.

    - Affiliate-Optimized Content – SEO-driven pages designed to drive bookings and conversions.

  • Work with writers and content creators to ensure all materials align with SEO strategy and maintain brand voice, clarity, and engagement.

  • Continuously analyze content performance and adjust strategies based on user behavior, search trends, and competitive insights.

Paid Media & Affiliate Strategy

  • Manage external PPC consultants to optimize ad spend and align campaigns with organic growth strategies.

  • Oversee affiliate marketing efforts, including partnerships and content development for monetization.

  • Develop and implement a social media strategy that enhances brand presence and user engagement.

Technical SEO & AI Search Adaptation

  • Work with external technical SEO consultants to optimize website performance, indexing, and structured data implementation.

  • Stay ahead of AI-driven search changes (Google SGE, ChatGPT integrations, etc.) and develop proactive strategies.

  • Implement AI-friendly content structuring, leveraging emerging tools to maintain high visibility.

Marketing Strategy & Growth Execution

  • Contribute to the overall marketing strategy, ensuring that SEO, content, paid media, and affiliate marketing efforts align with growth objectives.

  • Identify and execute new opportunities for rapid digital growth using data insights and A/B testing.

  • Experiment with emerging marketing channels to optimize lead generation and conversion rates.

Email Marketing Campaign Management

  • Plan, execute, and optimize targeted email marketing campaigns to drive engagement, nurture leads, and convert users into customers.

  • Segment email audiences based on behavior, lifecycle stage, and travel interests to deliver highly relevant messaging.

  • Collaborate with content and sales teams to ensure emails are visually compelling, brand-aligned, and conversion-focused.

  • Track key performance metrics (open rates, click-throughs, conversions) and continuously A/B test subject lines, content, and send times to improve performance.

  • Maintain list hygiene and ensure compliance with GDPR and other privacy regulations to uphold deliverability and trust.

Work Environment & Team Culture

We offer a flexible yet structured work environment, allowing for remote work while ensuring in-person collaboration. The role is based in Prague and requires 1-2 in-person meetings per week to align on strategy, coordinate with the team, and drive execution. You'll be working with a dynamic, driven team that thrives on innovation, data-driven decision-making, and rapid growth. Compensation is performance-based, meaning your earnings reflect the impact you create, with clear growth opportunities tied to results. This is a contract role rather than a salaried position, providing both autonomy and a direct stake in the success of your work.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in SEO strategy, keyword optimization, and link building.

  • Experience managing external consultants (SEO, PPC, affiliates).

  • Familiarity with Google Ads, social media marketing, and affiliate partnerships.

  • Strong understanding of content marketing, structure, and user engagement tactics.

  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to track and measure marketing impact.

  • Proven ability to drive revenue through strategic email campaign execution.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, adaptable environment.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with AI-driven search (SGE, AI-powered search engines, structured data markup, etc.).

  • Background in the travel industry or travel content marketing.

Knowledge of marketing automation tools and analytics platforms.
