Preschool Teacher

International Preschool BASIS Prague is looking for a Preschool Teacher to join its team as of August 2025. The Preschool Teacher’s role is to co-teach along with another class teacher and together oversee the co-development and implementation of the curriculum and supervise and support students throughout the day. We are looking for a candidate with excellent knowledge of the English language – as the main language in our Preschool is English.

Main Responsibilities:

• Implement the BASIS curriculum by co-designing effective and creative lessons and assessments to educate students at an internationally competitive level.

• Tutor students in content-specific knowledge and skills to heighten the trajectory of their personal and academic development.

• Manage student behavior to foster academic achievement, personal responsibility, intellect and individuality in all students.

• Work to inspire and ignite children’s love for learning as early as possible to lead them to future academic and real-life success

• Foster a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports students' curiosity and love for learning to lead them to future academic and real-life success.

• Support students' social and emotional development by modelling positive interactions, problem-solving strategies, and managing behavior to foster academic achievement, personal responsibility, intellect, and individuality.

• Supervise students throughout various parts of the day, including classroom activities, playtime, and outdoor time, to maintain a safe and organized learning environment.

• Collaborate with other BASIS Prague teachers to utilize a community of smart, talented and interesting people, who are passionate about their work and readily willing to work in a professional, academic environment.

Requirements:

• Highschool/University degree in pedagogy, preferably in early childhood

• Experience working with young children (age 3-6).

• Excellent spoken and written knowledge of the English language

• Friendliness, creativity, reliability and flexibility and passion to inspire children

BASIS Prague International Preschool is a preschool with a transformative academic program for 2,5–5 years old early learners. Our academic program utilizes the Full English Immersion concept.
