The Sourcing Manager for Packaging is a dynamic, energetic and passionate person with ambition looking at a director career step with at least 3 years of experience in negotiation and sourcing. You will be responsible for the strategic procurement and for the execution of all strategic & operational sourcing for the Packaging Material Category within a complex European organization. Stakeholder management of VP level is crucial

What will you be doing:
Generate and implement efficient sourcing strategies for the European Packaging category
Responsible for improving the category sourcing activities by analyzing the company’s spending, supplying partnerships and new supplier possibilities.
Responsible for appraising the category sourcing activities executed by the senior buyers.
Support the deployment of the European category strategy for Packaging Materials Europe by executing strategic & operational sourcing as per defined strategy.
Provide together with PPM analytics reporting on actual volumes/ prices and variances vs. budget
Drive further optimization of sourcing & negotiation strategy by keeping up to date to latest industry & market trends regarding negotiation & sourcing.
Drive strategic sourcing agenda within our European operation for Packaging materials in close collaboration with business stakeholders & category managers.
Implement European contracts (where required) in line with European S2P policies and overall strategic sourcing agenda
Accountable for optimal supplier portfolio within Packaging category to deliver current & future strategic requirements
Support strategic planning processes & monthly financial performance reporting
What you'll bring:
English Language fluent – ability to communicate effectively by conveying information and ideas in a clear, meaningful, and timely manner. Providing information to ensure understanding; solicit input and provide open candid conversations
Ambition to grow in the company to senior levels with a high level of energy with a dynamic personality and passion for sourcing and negotiation
Knowledge of International Contractual law and applied economics, finance, supply chain awareness
Strong analytical skills as well as leadership & influencing skills / Advanced presentation skills & ability to engage senior stakeholders
Sourcing knowledge and high understanding of sourcing processes across different categories
Good understanding of 8 steps of sourcing & E-auction strategies with a strong knowledge of e-sourcing tools
Ability to work under pressure & hands-on ownership mentality
Affinity with Packaging materials (such as Bottles, Cans, Cartons, Shrink) is a plus
