Czech travel photographer Tomáš Princ, the creator of the Humans of Prague blog, has released a glossy photo book presenting the most interesting stories from the past five years. Fans of MilujuPrahu.cz (I Love Prague) have once again chosen their favorite images of the Czech capital from top Czech photographers which were then compiled into one stunning 14-page wall calendar. The majority of the proceeds from the calendar will go to support the children of Hostivice Klokánek, an orphanage outside of Prague. Natalie Gray Design Textiles with Prague and Czech Republic Motifs
Prague-based designer Natalie Gray has created a lovely collection of textiles—wallpaper, purses, wallets, pencil cases, and more—inspired by the Czech lands. The Pigeons of Vršovice motiffeatures architectural gems from the streets of the artist’s own neighborhood while the Klara from Moravia doll is a tribute to Moravian folk costumes. The English-language productions of Zdeněk Svěrák and Ladislav Smoljak’sCirmman plays have become quite the sensation on Prague’s English-language theater circuit and beyond—the talented Cimrman players even took their act Stateside last year.In October, the troupe debuted a new show The Pub in the Glade, the story of a pub in the middle of the forest and its colorful regular customers.
