- March 2|Classical Czech Composer Bedřich Smetana was born on this day in 1824. Smetana is often considered the father of Czech music.
- March 2|Vršovice, now located in the Prague 10 district, was officially elevated to town status on this date in 1902. It became part of Prague 20 years later.

📺 WHAT TO STREAM THIS WEEK
"BANGER.", a Czech musical drama about a young drug dealer who aspires to become a rapper, premieres on Netflix on Wednesday, March 1.
Directed by Adam Sedlák and starring Adam Mišík, the movie premiered at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival last year and has been nominated for eight Czech Lion awards including Best Picture.
