B-Boys strut their stuff to compositions from Johann Sebastian Bach in one of the more unusual performances of the year as the Flying Steps return to Prague later this month.

During the performance Red Bull Flying Bach, the German street dance crew will light up the stage of  Divadlo Karlín as they combine breakdance moves and a classic composition from Johann Sebastian Bach.

The act will feature an electronica version of Bach’s The Well-Tempered Clavier arranged by Christoph Hagel along with choreography by Flying Steps member Vartan Bassil.

The Flying Steps, a nine-member street dance group that was formed in Berlin in 1993, are one of the world’s most successful B-Boy crews.

The Red Bull Flying Bach routine has been received to great popularity in Germany, where in won an Echo Klassik award in 2010, and also worldwide; it was performed at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, and premiered in the USA in 2014.

The Flying Steps have three Prague showtimes at Hudební divadlo Karlín: Saturday, September 23 at 20:00, and Sunday, September 24 at 17:00 and 20:00. Tickets are available from Ticketpro.
