Plug Into Prague’s Freelance Scene at the Upcoming Day of Co-Working Spaces

Looking for a freelancer-friendly work environment? A number of co-working spaces in Prague and beyond will open their doors next week

The Czech Republic has become a top destination for digital nomads and freelancers with a recent poll naming the country among the best places in the world to be your own boss.

According to current findings, flexible work is transforming the labor market not just in the Czech Republic but Europe at large where, thanks to digital technologies, the number of independent workers increased from 6.2 to 8.9 million between 2004 and 2013.

Na volné noze, a portal devoted to freelance opportunities in the Czech Republic says that freelance work is one of the most prominent career trends in the Czech Republic and that Prague, with more than 30 co-working spaces, is one of the world’s coworking capitals; the largest co-working center in Europe and the second-largest Impact Hub in the world opened in Brno in January 2018.

For those looking for a new co-working space, the site will be hosting the first ever day of co-working spaces on June 1, when cities throughout the Czech Republic will open their shared offices for free to allow freelancers the opportunity to explore what each workspace has to offer.

Visitors can drop by anytime throughout the day (the event runs 9am-3pm). In Prague, some of the more interesting spaces include a kid-friendly office for parents, a maker space, and a hub for artsy types in a Prague theater.
