The Kühn Choir of Prague has been performing acclaimed acapella and cantata works, both at home and abroad, often in collaboration with the Prague Symphony Orchestra, for the past fifty years.

The group has also had quite the impressive career in opera and on film, participating in recordings of music for Miloš Forman’s The People vs. Larry Flint.

It was recently reported that the group will be recording music for season 7 of Game of Thrones, set to be released a bit later than usual this year according to showrunners, who say fans won’t be able to get their Westeros fix until summer 2017.

Czech server Info.cz spoke with Kühn Choir director Margita Losová who confirmed: “Yes, we were recording. Most likely, the music should be heard in the new series.”

Not only have Czech voices participated in the creation of fantasy serial; Czech hands too: a number of the boats featured in GoT were produced in the Lipník nad Bečvou workshop of Radim Zapletal who has also crafted vessels for History Channel show Vikings.

The Kühn Choir of Prague has several performances lined up this month at National Theatre and Rudolfinum.
