Earlier this month a Florida restaurant started offering an Americanized version of the Czech internet sensation the Doughnut Ice Cream Cone, a.k.a. the Franken-Cone, as a permanent menu item.

South Tampa restaurant Dough’s Czech-inspired creation is a tribute to the Nutella-lined, soft-serve filled funnel-cake that garnered widespread fame across social media and major new outlets this past February.

The trdelník-based dessert was created by Good Food Coffee and Bakery cafe in Prague.

The American take on the Czech treat, according to the restaurant’s blog is, “Filled with creamy swirls of house-made jelly doughnut-flavored ice cream. Toppings include bacon caramel popcorn, cotton candy, whipped cream, and a cherry.”

The restaurant reports that it had only intended to serve its Prague Doughnut Ice Cream Cones as a one-day promotion in late March, but due to the dessert’s popularity (the entire batch sold out in less than an hour) it has become a menu fixture.

Aussies will also getting a chance to try this trdelník treat at Melbourne cafe Little Frankie’s which is serving their “CoNut” topped with gummie bears.
