The weather in Czechia will continue to be rainy, and it could even snow again in the mountains in the middle of the week. The situation should improve by the second half of the week, with sunnier skies and higher temperatures that could rise above 20 degrees Celsius on Sunday. The risk of flooding should be coming to an end for now, according to the weekly forecast from the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ).

For today, meteorologists are predicting cloudy skies and showers in places, which will be more numerous in the mountains, and bring between 5 to 10 millimeters of precipitation per cubic meter. However, the rise in river levels that occurred recently is expected to subside.

"Waterways that are currently at flood stage will fluctuate very slightly and mostly have a tendency to decrease. We do not expect significant increases again," the ČHMÚ said.

Monday and Tuesday will both be cloudy, with high temperatures ranging between 11 degrees and 15 degrees Celsius, and slightly cooler in the mountains. Rain will be more prevalent on Tuesday.

Wednesday will be overcast with isolated, intermittent rain or showers during the day in most areas and possible snowfall above 900 meters. The highest daily temperatures in most of Czechia will be between 7 to 11 degrees, but in the southeast, they could go up to 13 degrees.

Thursday will be similar, with continued rain and snow, but the clouds should start to break up. The highest daily temperatures will be between 11 degrees and 15 degrees, but in the southwest with will drop to a high of 10 degrees. Daily lows on both days could approach freezing in some areas.

A warm weekend, but with some rain

The weather will start to change for the better on Friday, with the sky starting to clear. Daytime temperatures should hit between 13 degrees and 17 degrees.

The weekend should be warmer but still have some rain. The sky will be almost clear to partly clear but have increased cloud cover from the west and occasional showers or even thunderstorms. The highest daily temperatures on Saturday will be between 14 degrees to 19 degrees and on Sunday could go up to 21 degrees in places.
