Do you ever get bored with Prague? Well, this weekend you can get a different perspective on the city at 75 localized street festivals across the Czech capital.

Now in its 13th year, the Zažít město jinak (Different City Experience) festival aims to provide locals with a new perspective on the neighborhoods they live in, and bring a vibrant social and cultural atmosphere to locations that might otherwise lack it over a usual weekend.

This year, more than 100 locations (streets, parks, squares and more) across the Czech Republic will be participating in the Zažít město jinak (Different City Experience) festival, including 75 in Prague alone.

The city-wide festival will take place on Saturday, September 15, with most locations active during the afternoon hours.

But with so many street festivals happening this weekend, which ones should you check out? Here are some of our top picks for Zažít město jinak (Different City Experience) events around the city:

  • Kampa Park in Prague 1 will feature a special lineup of events for children, including a wishing tree, dream catcher making, and an exhibition of old photos from Malá Strana.
  • Americká Street in Vinohrady (Prague 2) will be transformed into a Mexican marketplace, complete with food stalls from some of Prague’s top Mexican restaurants, live salsa music, and even some piñata smashing.
  • On Biskupcova street in Prague 3, a homeless guide from Pragulic will give a tour of the area. Outside Kino Aero, visitors can listen to slam poetry and stand-up comedy, and take part in swing dance lessons.
  • Underneath the Hlávkův brigde at Prague 7, an area typically utilized by Prague’s homeless, local architects and inhabitants will unveil photo and painting exhibits that bring attention to homelessness in Prague. From 2:30, a parade of Chinese lanterns will illuminate the tunnel under the bridge.
  • On usually-bustling Křižíkova Street in Prague 8, cars will be replaced by tables and chairs and visitors can take part in a flea market, listen to live music on stage, and sample Czech beers, wine, and food from local vendors.
