Water Creatures, Fairytales, and Fests: Summertime Family Fun In Prague

A new music festival that is just for families plus a number of free workshops and splashy fun in Prague

Pigyáda – Přehrady fest

A new family festival aimed at those who enjoy splashy water activities and musical acts in one will take place in two locations this summer and is supported by Czech super group, Chinaski. Pigyáda – Přehrady fest begins on July 20-21st at Nová Živohošť on Slapy; the second outing is scheduled for August 3-4 at Vranovská pláž on Vranov.

A portable planetarium, star watching, photo fun, and rocket launching are just some of the activities planned for kids in the dedicated Pigy village. In the evening the bands will attend a bonfire where everyone will be able to sing together.

Scheduled to appear are Čiperkové, Pískomil se vrací, and Lollipopz. Additionally, Tomáš Klus, Jaroslav Uhlíř, Mirai, Nebe, and Sebastian will also take the stage.

Celebrate nearly the 50th anniversary of the first official landing on the moon by thematic program and screening of Baron Prášil and enjoy Days with Karel Zeman; from 16:00 to 21:00 there is a theme program especially for families with children. Paint or own winged horse or print an original princess! From about 21:30, depending on the darkness, the unique fantasy film Baron Prášil will be projected.

Summer with DOX – Children’s Day at Dox

Workshop for children where they can play a puppet fairy tale. In addition to well-known fairy tales, they can play their own story or be inspired by a winning star. The Puppet Theater offers five original designs with different backdrops and a set of puppets for play.

The fourth afternoon at Plechárna on the Black Bridge will be dedicated to a great battle with water balloons. The entrance to the event and all ammunition is completely free.
